Action 4 Chalvey volunteers become Sport Makers

Five Members from Action 4 Chalvey have made a pledge to get more people playing sport.
The members attended the Sport Makers workshops held at the Eton College Rowing Lake the Olympic Venue for Rowing on Tuesday 1st May 2012, which inspired them to give something back to the community and volunteer at local sports sessions and events.
Asam Shakoor, Volunteer and Sports Committee Member for Action 4 Chalvey, said: "It was a great event, now its our time to produce great events as Sports Makers!"
Mohammed Ahmed, Chair to Action 4 Chalvey who also attended, said: "There are many benefits of becoming a Sport Maker; giving something back to the local community, learning new skills, enhancing your CV and meeting new people. Experience is not necessary; you just need to be enthusiastic and willing to help!"
Action 4 Chalvey with the newly trained Sports Makers has pledged to setup a Footbal club, as well as setup various sporting activities which include badminton, squash, table tennis and various other activities.
