Message from Slough police station,Tuesday 1 December.

Burglary incidents quiet at this time around the town but unfortunately the following have occurred:

28/11 Westgate Crescent,Cippenham where between 12.30-4.15pm entry gained by forcing rear patio door and an untidy search made.

29/11 Eltham Ave,Cippenham where keys were "fished" thro letterbox which resulted in theft of car - please be reminded to keep all keys in a secure place within the home and never leave them out where a thief can find.

29/11 Beechwood Gardens where in the early hours of morning a house was entered by front door being forced.A search by police had a good result in that a number of arrests were made close to the scene.

Theft from cars still a problem and will continue whilst people leave items on display in unattended vehicles.A good result in the afternoon of 30/11 when a number of youths on bikes were seen peering into and trying door handles of vehicles in the Wexham Park Hospital area - an extensive search was made and a number of arrests were made.
This was a an excellent example of how important your calls are to us,so if you witness any supicious activity similar to this - remember the number to ring is 0845 8 505 505.

We've been advised that a Ms Tina Millins is conducting market research work on behalf of a company called Kantar Operations between now and the end of year in Slough. If you do happen to receive a visit please remember to insist on production of ID if entry to your home is requested.

Finally in the run up to Christmas we must all take extra care with security issues and to assist,I have attached a self explanatory information document.

Thank you.
