Message from Slough police station,Friday 11 December.

Burglary incidents this week:

9/12 Park Lane,Upton where sometime during day home entered and jewellery stolen.Entry gained by forcing window but possible that offenders had moved wheelie bin and garden chair to gain height which enabled them to climb onto wall.
Obviously bins and chairs most times have to be left out in the open but please ensure any garden tools and ladders are made secure and can't be used by offenders to help gain entry to your home.

9/12 Fairview Road,Britwell where glass pane in rear door broken and offender reached in to take key to gain entry - electrical items taken.

10/12 Bower Way,Cippenham where overnight entry gained by offender reaching in thro letterbox and using some kind of tool pulled down the handle.Handbag and camera taken.

11/12 Romsey Close,Langley where overnight entry gained and keys taken which resulted in theft of car from driveway.

9/12 Greenfern Way,Haymill where during the day,resident went to put the rubbish out and in that very short period of time an opportunist thief gained entry and stole a handbag.

Man robbed in alleyway - Slough

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in Slough on Tuesday (8/12).

At about 1.55pm, the man, who is in his early sixties, was walking along an alleyway off Cromwell Drive when he was approached from behind by two men.

The men grabbed his Sainsbury's shopping bag, which contained a digital radio, £40 in cash, two Tote betting slips and three cigarette lighters. The robbers left the scene in an R-registered gold Rover 75.

The victim fell while chasing the robbers, sustaining cuts and grazes to his hand and knee.

Armed robbery - Slough

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses, after an armed robbery in Slough on Monday (7/12).

Just before 9pm, a man ran into the Corals bookmakers in Mirador Crescent, and threatened the lone female cashier with a gun, forcing her to hand over cash, before he ran off. The cashier was unhurt, but left very shaken.

The man is white, over 6ft, and of medium build. He was dressed in dark clothing.

Det Con Paul Thomas: "There were a number of customers in the bookmakers at the time and I am very keen to speak to them. I would urge them, and anyone else who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time or who has any information which may identify the offender, to contact me."
